Vitamin D3 also contributes to the normal function of muscles and the immune system. Vitamin D3 is mainly found in high-fat fish and, for example, in butter, eggs and avocados. It is the only vitamin that the body can produce to a substantial extent.
Sunlight is essential for this. Depending on the seasons, the climatic zones or the respective skin type, personal needs are covered to different degrees. In the colder months with little sunshine in particular, the skin comes into contact with less sunlight. Too intensive “sunbathing” is again not recommended for reasons of skin protection.
