Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bones in children. Vitamin D also contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system in children. Unlike other vitamins, vitamin D can be produced in the body itself. This happens when the skin is exposed to sunlight. If the body’s own production of vitamin D is insufficient, e.g. in the darker winter months when the skin is exposed to little sunlight, altapharma Vitamin D3 for children can be a useful supplement.
For children, adolescents and adults who do not produce their own vitamin D, the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a daily intake of 20 μg of vitamin D. Altapharma Vitamin D3 for children contains 10 μg of vitamin D per tablet, a balanced amount for nutritional supplementation when the body’s own vitamin D production is insufficient.
Ingredients
Sweetener: sorbitol; acidifier: citric acid, sodium citrate; Anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids; natural flavors, coconut oil, sweetener: sucralose; cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), colorant: riboflavin.
