The Nexa Lotte clothes and textile moth trap is an odorless, insecticide-free, ready-to-use adhesive trap for detecting infestations of clothes moths, for example on clothing, carpets, upholstered furniture, curtains, mattresses and other textiles. The male clothes moths are attracted by a species-specific sexual attractant (pheromone) and stick to the trap’s glue. This reduces infestation because the females are no longer fertilized and new egg-laying is effectively prevented. The luring effect lasts for around 3 months after the protective film has been removed.

Instructions for use

Remove the protective film quickly from the glue surface. The pheromone contained in the already glued-on depot drop (brownish dot) is released continuously, invisibly and odorlessly. Put the trap together so that the tab with the hole for hanging is facing upwards. Place the moth trap in an easily accessible place in rooms or cupboards where clothing or natural textiles such as wool carpets, upholstered furniture, curtains, stuffed animals and so on are stored. Hang the trap in a dark place without drafts, stand it up, or stick it on using the adhesive strip on the back, for example on/to wardrobes, chests of drawers – not near doors, windows, ventilation shafts, lamps and so on. You will achieve the best catch results if the traps are placed at a height of 1.70 to 2.50 m. Important for successful use: Only use one trap per room (one trap is sufficient for 30 m2). Check the trap every two weeks and if moths are caught, find and destroy sources of infestation (for example in textiles, carpets, animal fur). Wash or clean infested textiles thoroughly. The more and more often moths are caught, the more important it is to use clothes moth products as a preventative measure – especially in the wardrobe – such as Nexa Lotte moth repellent or Nexa Lotte scented moth repellent bags. If the infestation is severe, we recommend using Nexa Lotte insect repellent 3in1 against flying moths (male and female).
