The HIV home test is based on the flow-through principle and is intended for single use for the detection of antibodies against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and type 2 (HIV-2).
The test is intended for use as a self-test by the untrained layperson as an aid in the diagnosis of HIV infection.
A small drop of blood is taken from the fingertip.

How do I use the rapid HIV test? 1)
Taking blood: You can prick your fingertip with the lancet and take a drop of blood.
2) Blood sample in solution 1: Put the blood in bottle 1 (see label) and shake the bottle.
3) Cover the wound: Dress your fingertip with the enclosed plaster.
4) Put the solutions into the tester: Put the liquids from bottles 1+2+3 into the tester one after the other.
Please wait each time until the solution has completely disappeared into the tester.
5) Read the test result: The HIV home test shows you whether the result is negative or positive.
The test should be performed at room temperature (15°C to 30°C).
