The cocoa pods of the 15 meter high cocoa tree “Theobroma cacao” are used for our dmBio cocoa nibs. The oval cocoa fruit is ripe when it is 20 cm Long and has a Yellow-red color.
The fruits are harvested by hand, opened with a machete and fermented for a few days. Through fermentation, the color changes from originally Yellowish to chocolate Brown and its unique, slightly bitter taste develops.
Our dmBio cocoa nibs can be used in a variety of ways. Try these in overnight oats, in the açai bowl or for baking in brownies or muffins and Convince yourself of the Delicious, intense cocoa note.
